question Camcorder – professional or semi professional, please.?
I want to hear from any people who have the Canon HV20 camcorder. NO Sony or JVC, Panasonic o. Canon HV20 ONLY. I am a professional shooter. For several years I've been shooting commercial and ENG footage with the Canon XL-1, I'm very happy. I can edit with FCP. I'm thinking of a Canon HV20 HiDef camcorder. I know it is considered a consumer camera, but remains high definition with a CMOS sensor. I would like to hear from anyone with experience with this camera. Are you happy with it or not, and why? How is the picture quality compared to an XL-1 3-CCD camera? Could the sequences are interspersed in the job without any problem severe visual? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!
I used one for a project. It was shot in 24p and came out looking beautiful. I edited in Avid Media Composer / Adrenaline with a 2:3 pulldown without incident. We have not shot in HD, so I dont know how to see the HD. I for the camera only for just 24p. Has the best low light I've seen in a consumer camcorder and even compared to some of the most pro I have used.
