Having a supportive circle of friends, family and mentors (especially those who are trying to accomplish the same thing as you) really helps. At least have someone who has had success in similar fields and study them, read their books, reading their blogs: his work ethic, methods, etc.
2) Keep a journal of business – get in the habit of carrying with you everywhere. Ideas pop up in the strangest of times. Top score down. Ideas of things to put in its daily business: inspirational quotations, reading lists, short term and long term goals, notes on research.
3) Have a budget – not to go bankrupt trying to launch a site or a product. It's easy to get carried away with the purchase of material, such as office supplies, domain names, software, books. Be realistic about how much they can afford. Put a cap on your business related expenses.
4) Set goals – Write these in your journal. You should always have short term goals and long-term goals. The short term can only be what you want to accomplish within that week or month. For example, launch a blog with content completely monetary in a couple of weeks. An example of a long-term goal: Earn an extra $ 300-500 per month to start. The more specific objectives are best.
5) Schedule time to work – This is a tough one especially if you have a demanding full time job. Set aside time exclusively for your project special. Or wake aa couple of hours earlier, or spend some time after work to do something to meet your short term goals of the week. Learning to manage your time better. You can dedicate time to their companies without having to sacrifice time with your spouse or children. It's all about getting on the right path and find your balance. This will teach you better manage your time by eliminating distractions. If you only have 2 hours of the morning to spare then do not spend an hour and a half control site statistics or e-mail.
6) Commit to one thing and move on – do not overreach. If you want to try affiliate marketing then do just that. If you prefer to try their hand at dropshipping then focus on that alone. If you want to sell things they've done at Etsy then by all means go for it. There is only so much information out there to try to digest the ideas and processes multiple streams of income. It is better to stick to one thing that really interests you, since you will have to spend time with your special project. I understand that it is working, but you have to try to have fun with what you do.
7) Be proactive – No amount of preparation and research can reach any place if no action is taken. So stop wondering if something will work and just try. You'll have to take risks on the road, but preferably calculated risks. I liken this to someone walking in a electronics store to buy a DVD and impulsively spend $ 800 on a HD camcorder VS. someone who first made a multi-line research products before zeroing in the final product. The second type is most likely finish with the best product, possibly even cheaper.
