a software for editing avchd format?
i have got a sony camcorder which record in a mini disk in format of avchd.i need a software which is not very difficult to work with in order to joints the movie parts and burn into a disk.i also want to keep the quality of movie in high quality.
i have a vaio laptop with windows vista.

AVCHD editors are left with less options, however, it is possible. Your best option is probably Sony Vegas Pro 8. It is a very popular semi-pro editing system that supports AVCHD. Other programs to look at are Pinnacle Studio v11 and the Sony Vegas Movie Studio.They are more consumer based programs but still decent. I really like the Pinnacle Studio; it is an inexpensive, yet great tool. Make sure you get either the Studio Plus or the Studio Ultimate; other versions of the Pinnacle v11 will not support AVCHD.
If you had a mac, your options would be Final Cut Pro v6 and Final Cut Express.
