Best Hd 1080P Camcorder

SPEED HD-50Z Full HD 1080P Camcorder – Departure from Lakeside Shopping Centre Carpark

Sanyo HD2000 Two in One

Sanyo has done good work in promoting the use of handheld video cameras in recent years many. They include updating constant in the range. Check out Sanyo HD2000 pistol grip design that can record HD video in 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second (fps) and is a good way to double 8-megapixel camera. The HD2000 does not have its own internal memory and records directly to SD cards but can support up to 32GB SDHC.

The design is portable and easy to hold to record video clips (no pistol grip can not be used while taking stills). The base has a tripod connector help overcome this and also a Anti-Shake option that can be activated to minimize the effect of an unsteady hand.

The HD2000 comes with a lot of useful accessories, like a docking station, charger, soft carrying pouch, wrist strap and lens cap and an S-video cable, USB cable and a Component cable for connecting the camera to a PC, TV or printer. There is also a remote that can be used for recording and playback.

The HD2000's main claim to fame is the video recording. The colors are good and the picture quality is razor sharp, even outdoors, where a lot other cameras start the suffering of the colors faded. The only HD2000 records video in MPEG4 format, which is very good for compression, but limits the possibility of subsequent conversion to other formats without losing much of the image quality.

The Sanyo HD2000 is one of the best tools for those who just want a single device to capture high-quality basic, but high, pictures and video.

Great for a little bit

by Karen Courtright from on 2010-08-01
It seemed to be a steal for the $199.99 price, but at $299.99 it’s on the verge of being a rip-off. Look around before you buy.

I love this little camera

by E. Elizondo from on 2010-07-11
I got this on sale for $200.00 during Aiptek’s Memorial Day promotion. Definitely a great buy for that price.
Pro’s:
-Ease of use
-Great low light sensitivity
-Great optics
-Compact size
-Mini HDMI to HDMI connectivty to HDTV
-Aiptek’s tech support is superb (First camera I had was glitchy but Aiptek actually tested a new one and replaced it)
-Ext Mic Jack
-Pause recording feature
-Still camera mode w/ “burst” feature (snaps 10 pics in a row, even if you are recording video)
-Excellent quality video w/ little or no distortion.

Con’s:
-Ergonomics. Hard to get to the thumb controls unless you strap it to your fingers and not your palm
-Sound quality is a bit “tinny” but a good external mic takes care of that (This mic really works well with the camera… GE 98950 Detachable Desktop Microphone)
-Battery life is less than what Aiptek states (can get some extra batteries and charger for cheap here on Amazon)
-Still picures with telephoto and low light a bit blurry unless you keep camera really really still.
-Ext Mic records in mono- and not stereo (but overall sound seems better with ext mic)
-Built-in stereo mic on back of view screen. If you flip it, the mic points the wrong way. (Ext mic solves that problem)
-Questionable quality. Although my first camera was “glitchy” (see above) my replacment has worked well. Camera body is “plasticky” but parts fit together well.
-CMOS sensor, not CCD.

Overall, happy with this “go anywhere” camera, now called the AHD-H12 Extreme. At $200.00, it’s a steal if you can find it.

Good camera for the price

by Fen from on 2010-07-01
I bought this camera in May for 199.99 and for what I pay is an excellent camera but for 299.99 not so much because with a little more money you can get a Panasonic hdctm 15 or a Sanyo fh1a. The aiptek has more features but the Sanyo and the Panasonic take better video.

You get what you paid for…

by Gergely Kovacs from Texas, USA on 2010-06-07
Quite frankly, this camera takes very poor quality videos; only barely better than standard definition. But, it cost $300! If you do not have a lot of money for an HD camcorder and you need one quickly, you might be satisfied with this. Otherwise, stay away!

Nice try but no cigar.

by Robert Porter from on 2010-05-09
A lot of features for the money but both the video and still results are marginal. My Kodak Zi8 with half the megapixels gets better results by a good margin. It is an upgrade from standard definition and some people will accept the low performance because of the low price. You get what you pay for. As for me, I sent mine back and will be looking at higher priced, better video cameras.
