What is the best digital camcorder for indie film?
This question is only for filmmakers, please. Obviously, cost is a concern, but in general what is the best camera for high quality sound (XLR mic?) Great picture (3CCD? H?) And the ease of editing. What I most appreciate informed opinions. Thank you!
That is a question very open ... From the classics: Panasonic DVX100 (A / B) and the Canon XL2 are the two most popular. GL1/GL2 Canon are popular for advertising. (But not XLR.) The HD / HDV is still the market all over the map. For example, the Sony HVR-V1U, Canon XH-A1 (or the G1-XH recording studio, plus add a few large), the JVC GY-HD100 and, finally, the Canon XL-H1. But in reality, you have to go to www.bhphoto.com and check out the statistics. Read reviews. Then check out more of the following links. Film is an art and there are many types of art.
