HD Camcorder Trouble?
OK I love making movies, but my mini DV camera SUCKS! I have to upgrade to HD, but there are only so many video cameras I do not know which one to buy .. what can someone help me .. need to know what is the best HD camcorder! and IM also looking to spend between $ 300 - $ 700 ... Things that I'm really looking for are * Good HD video quality * internal hard drive * long battery life * perfect for shooting in dark places (or night) * COOL effects
First I'd recommend against getting a hard drive based camcorder. I recommend getting the Canon HV40 HDV 1080p, which also uses MiniDV, it would be compatible with existing tape (you could sell your current video camera and have your tapes). And the tapes are still the cheapest to archive your videos. DVD-R are not big enough and BD-(R Blu-Ray) are still very expensive. External hard drives could be correct, but I'd be afraid if they came out of me and lost all that video. The hard drive-based AVCHD camcorders to record, which takes time to edit more on the computer. And HDV still has a higher bit rate over AVCHD. But if you still want a hard disc camera, I went with the Panasonic HDC-HS100 with 60GB hard drive, as well of compatible SDHC supports up to 32GB SD cards.
