The low-down to Smackdown 4/10/09
Pre-Show Thoughts / Events:
A video package highlighting WrestleMania 25 plays. It was a WrestleMania pretty good, but as said before it was something like the Match Show – at least it was one of the ages. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels will be remembered as one of my favorite games ever. The rest of the program was pretty good very good, except the main event was the trash.
Big Show vs. Kofi Kingston
Kingston quickly jumps and hits a dropkick, sending the great man's amazing. Kingston then hits a roundhouse kick in the face of Big Show and falls back into the corner as a big deal of the outputs of the mouth and saliva drops from your mesh. That was serious. Kingston now runs and jumps up Big Show's shoulders, striking him in the head. Big Show pushes and Kingston is a back flip to his feet. Kingston Big Show ducks a clothesline and goes for another roundhouse kick but Big Show beats him down. Big Show picks him up and throws him across the ring. Big Show whips Kingston in the corner and charges, but Kingston slips through the ropes and the ropes used to propel the shin to the head of Big Show. Kingston will the rope and a Missile Dropkick shot staggered Big Show. Kingston enters the ropes and hits a spinning roundhouse kick, taking Big Show Down. Kingston is dancing around, it's against the ropes, and hits his Boom Boom Leg. Kingston covers for a two count presses and Big Show as his. Kingston now goes to the top rope and jumps into a HUGE Knockout Punch Big Show. Big Show goes for the 1 … 2 … 3 for the win.

A decent match to start the new year of Smackdown (in my view). Kofi vs. Show, two huge names there and I really suspect much of what happened. And again! I do not like how this game ended with the knockout blow to the Big Show. Big Show used to always do everything that it is a do would be to drop the opponent, but is now a "powerful" of classifier matches ending immediately. Seriously, either go back to its former finalists Big Show or get a new one.
Match Rating: 5 / 10
Santino Marella vs The Great Khali:
The bell rings and Santino protest it. Santino goes for a kick but Khali catches him and throws him backward. Santino gets up and walks right into Khali Punjabi drop and covers for the win.

HORRIBLE. In fact, almost cried after watching this. Very bad choice for Smackdown to do this song, even to carry a story with him.
Match Rating: 0 / 10
Gail Kim vs Michelle McCool:
Kim McCool with a dropkick hits nice and she goes down. McCool quickly get back up to Gail Kim skips to shoulders and hits hurricanrana one. Kim then make a McCool's standing in the face and not one stroke back, but McCool messed up in its final and seemed neglected. It is still a nice move however. McCool recovering overseas while Champion is looking Diva Maryse between racks. Kim is his shot from inside the ring, but avoids McCool. McCool then is done on the platform greets Gail Kim with a forearm. She goes for a suplex for McCool to bring back in the ring, but McCool counters and goes for a suplex of his own outward but winds up Kim on the platform. They will discuss on the platform until Gail Kim McCool shoulder launched first in the ring post, sending the star against the floor. McCool then kicked in the face against the barricade and slides back in the ring, which comprises of a two and a half count. McCool is going to put one leg down, but Kim is avoided. Gail Kim hit some forearm shots and carried down with a couple of clothespins. She whips McCool in the corner and hits a jump rope. McCool setbacks of the Gail Kim corner and jumps to the second rope and back-flips on a cross-shaped body. Gail Kim gets only two count. She climbs the rope and falls for a Missile Dropkick McCool, but avoids it. McCool and covers get an account, but Gail Kim counters in the interior of a crib and pins her for the win.

Very nice game. Im starting to like the DIVA a more and more each week. Soooo I'm happy that Gail Kim is back. Honestly, I think is one of the best women wrestlers of all time. She has an amazing move at all compared to all other Diva and Santino. Great game.

Carlito & Primo vs. Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes:
DiBiase goes to the second rope and comes off with a footprint of doubles. Somewhere Spike Dudley is bleeding on the independent circuit for a few dollars miserable … DiBiase cover to realize that is broken by Carlito. DiBiase stated in the Primo hits hard. Primo DiBiase whips hard chest first on the corner and tags in Rhodes. Primo sends Rhodes into the ropes and locks in an abdominal stretch. Accountants Primo with a hip throw. Rhodes first charge and then hits him with a body back on the top rope. Primo is making its way to Carlito DiBiase and Rhodes forces back into the ring to try Primo cut out, but is too late. Carlito comes in with some hits Rhodes left, enters the ropes and takes him down with a shot on forearm. Carlito hits him with a kick to the midsection, is against the ropes and hits a million Dollar Knee Lift, comes back into the ropes and hits a clothesline flight. Carlito has a whip put into it, but ducks the clothesline attempt and Ted DiBiase dropkicks outside the ring, while trying to interference. Carlito then becomes a kick in the abdomen, and pull on the corner. Rhodes charges and boot meets Carlito. Carlito goes to the rope and Rhodes tries to stop him but is beaten in his left hand. Then, while turning back the referee, DiBiase enters the platform and throws Carlito off, bouncing him off the top rope, and Carlito walks right into the Red Rhodes. Legacy collected the victory on the Champs-indisputable Tag.

A very good tag team match. The label of these equipment only days arn't any good I think. I mean, TNA has better equipment Smackdown tag and that's saying! Something I did not like was that Carlito & Primo are the Unified Tag Team Champions. Is supposed to represent the best tag team in WWE (although clearly arn't) and lose to a team like DiBiase and Rhodes. Although this was of course only one party to continue the drum / story HHH / Shane / Batista vs Legacy, yet it is sad that the new champions have lost the equipment under the name and label.

Stretcher Match Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy:
Matt begins to push the Jeff table and begins the fight to Matt punches him a couple of times. Jeff is holding on to the barricade to prevent the ramp up more. Matt is taken away from his leg and counters Jeff with a mule kick flip in the section of concrete – no filler. Jeff gets up slowly, in pain, and whips Matt hard in the steel ring steps. Jeff provides two stretchers and Matt puts in one. Jeff starts pushing Matt down the ramp, but Matt gets out before crossing the line. They fight up and down the ramp coming off Jeff the brunt, down the ramp. Matt is the RAM on the couch in the head, but Jeff strictly avoided. Matt Jeff put back in the ring and sets a table outside. Matt is now in the ring and grabs a steel chair. Matt climbs to the platform with him and Jeff pushes the wheelchair in Matt's face, sending him off the platform. The chair is in the Jeff couch now and Matt gets on the apron and hits him with Matt down on the couch and chair. Matt runs off and has her face against the table, as Jeff Hardy goes to the rope and comes outside, near the end of the table, catapulting it into Matt's face. Todd Grisham shamefully called as Jeff exceeded a movement and then rectified and apologizes. Jeff says Matt on a stretcher and was going to take up the ramp, but Matt will not let go of the platform to send Jeff and Matt on the couch steel steps, almost grass dart Matt the stairs face first. Jeff's face bounces off the steel steps and puts it on the table. Jeff is now the top rope and goes for the Swanton Bomb to the outside, but Matt comes out form and Jeff hits the table. That was really impressive. If it exceeded a centimeter to a … Jeff starts pushing Matt now the ramp on the stretcher, but Jeff is doing everything possible to fight but Matt is struck down. Then Matt gets the steel chair, crashes on Jeff's head, knocking him unconscious, allowing Matt to Jeff boost up the ramp on the couch and on the goal line.
Winner: Matt Hardy
AWESOME! Simply stunning. What a great game to end Smackdown. One of the greatest matches in Smackdown some time. Just do not like the way they are pushing Matt Hardy as the best when all Everyone knows clearly that Jeff is wayyyyy better than Matt.

That concludes tonight on Smackdown!
What Final Thoughts:
This was a terrible episode of Friday Night Smackdown tonight. There are many arguments tonight with the project until Monday to get what The fighting was very heavy, which is something that makes me very happy. Unfortunately I fear that Smackdown will be destroyed in this project so this could be the last episode really good for a while – but who knows. The big story is Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy tonight. My guess is that had the blow off this feud already because one week Raw will next. My guess is it will be but I hope that Jeff Hardy will be Matt. Maybe he can do better than Raw – you a fresh start. Although it had a great night Stretcher Hatch and his fiefdom in the last three months has been first class. I also hope we'll see more of John Cena and Chris Jericho, with the latter being more likely to come. Yet this was a great way to end the post WrestleMania week – a lot of good games, and tonight a really big edge segment. Smackdown will have a group new talent for next week but will do our best, but we will lose something of massive stars, probably even JR. I do not feel like they can have Michael Cole back. Ugh! Regardless, tonight was great!
NOTE: I am very disappointed that I had to leave out the leading segment and having to sell to expose the comment tag team match. I have a 2000 word limit and try to give the party with most of her comments as possible. Sorry discomfort. Please tune in next week for the next edition of Smackdown low-down! Thanks for reading!
