There are several video files at our disposal, some of them can be easily downloaded from the Internet via Torrent, there are also video from Youtube, Google Video, Yahoo video, some are purchased from iTunes, some are HD video file, such as mod, tod, AVCHD (M2TS, MTS, TS), DV, MOV, video file that FLIP shoots for ourselves. Sometimes we need to convert video files to mp3 on Mac OS X. I searched the Internet and find a list of tools (website, freeware and shareware for Mac users) to help convert any video file to mp3 with fast speed and best hi-fi audio output.
Why people are becoming so fascinated with mp3 audio files?
MP3 is becoming more popular due to its smaller file size close to CD quality, more music that fit on a CD in mp3 format and becomes faster when sending / receiving over the Internet. MP3 has become the standard for music sharing Internet. More and more teams of portable MP3 playback support, including MP3-CD-walkman, car radio, DVD players, iPod, iPhone and Blackberry.
There are mainly three different groups of video files that I will cover below and we will present different tools / programs for each group to turn MP3 on Mac

Party 2. Convert video DRM'd mp3 file
Maybe you've purchased music from iTunes and you want to play the tracks on a non-iPod music player. Apple says no. Maybe you've become a Mac or Linux, and you need their WMA (Windows Audio) files in a standard format, portable. Microsoft says no. What about backing up your music library? Or the burning of their favorite songs on a CD to listen in the car? The RIAA says no.
But that does not mean can not.

Audacity – Audacity is a general purpose audio program that allows that users record and edit audio. Runs on Windows, Mac OS X and GNU / Linux and a couple of other operating systems. If you start Audacity and press the record button, will capture the song played by iTunes. Add the LAME encoder (also on the Audacity download page) and you will be able to export Audacity for MP3 files. (Free)

Sometimes I record video clips with the video camera and want to save the audio as mp3, for creating CDs.
