Microphones have been subjected to a lot of changes over the years. Some designs were left and others became part of the vintage microphones. Microphone, popularly known as Mike or microphone, is a major element in an audio or music.

The History and Development of microphones
The 1930s saw the film industry to test the new technology to record musical scores. However, the range of microphones offered was low. Mason, Marshall, Bell Labs was a plane a tubular microphone in 1939. The design was such that use a single element and acoustic tubes of different sizes. He helped pick the music direction. The tubular design was the forerunner of today's micros.
Electret condenser microphone is a part of the vintage microphones, because it has a history dating back to 1928. He used polarized wax plates. Bogen offers such business under the name Velotron voltage. The Second World War saw the development of wax electret microphones. The Japanese have used in their field devices. However, it became very popular due to its instability.
In 1962-1965 the electret microphones got their diaphragm made of a thin layer of mylar foil or Teflon. Sony, in 1968, then created the best condenser microphone electret. That too has gone through vintage microphones.
