I have a Canon HD digital camcorder. It downloaded .MTS files and I can’t get the videos to play.?
The videos seem to have downloaded, but none of the players I have used will run them. I’ve tried Windows Media Player, InterVideo WinDVD SE (from Canon), Windows Movie Maker, Quick Time. The files are in a Stream folder.
It is a high definition that records with AVCHD and the camera uses a hard drive to store the video. I received Corel apps. CD with the camera and installed it, but it isn’t helping.
I guess you have the Canon HG10 like the one I have. To view the raw video files from the camcorder, I used Nero Showtime or sometimes Media Player Classic.
You could download and install the CCCP codec pack at http://www.cccp-project.net/ . It has Media Player Classic and the codecs you need for video playback. Also since the videos are in high definition, you need a fast computer to play them without stuttering here and there.
