Part 1: What are the files of Tod?
Video file captured by a JVC Everio camcorder, as the GZ-HD3, GZ-HD7, which has saved in a proprietary format that can be viewed using the Cyberlink software included with JVC camcorders. Recent versions of other software video editing may also be able to import files from TOD (see below), the included Cyberlink PowerDirector application can import and export files TOD as. MPG, which are visible from most video editing programs.
NOTE: Some cameras JVC Everio save files video with a. MOD extension, which is similar to TOD format.
Part 2, MOD and TOD files
MOD and TOD are informal names of tapeless video formats used by JVC (MOD and TOD), Panasonic (MOD only) and Canon (MOD only) on some models digital camcorders. Format names correspond to the video file extensions. JVC nor Panasonic, which pioneered the format, explained the meaning of file extensions. MOD files are used exclusively for standard-definition video, while TOD is used for high definition files. Formats never given an official name. MOD video can be viewed on a computer with a player who is capable of playing MPEG-2 video. This video can easily be the author to see in a DVD player without recompression, as it is fully compatible with standard DVD-Video. TOD format is comparable to the AVCHD format, but can not be directly played in consumer video equipment. Media files must be packed in distribution formats like HD DVD or Blu-ray Disc, using the authoring software. One way of recording TOD, "1440CBR" has the same structure size, aspect ratio and frame rate as 1080i HDV, and may be vaguely called "HDV on disk".

![]() Panasonic HDC-HS900K 3 MOS 220GB HDD 3D Compatible Camcorder (Black) Sale Price: $749.95 DescriptionThe Panasonic HDC-HS900 High Definition Camcorder features 1920 x 1080/60p recording, a 220GB hard disk drive, an SD memory card slot, the option to record in 3D and a quality image sensor system. These features give you detailed, beautiful images, a plethora of recording space and the ability to shoot fun and unique movies in 3D with an optional lens. Panasonic’s proprietary ‘3MOS’ is a 3 sensor CMOS that adds up to 9.15MP (3 x 3.05MP). These sensors work together with another Panasonic technology, Crystal Engine PRO. This engine is a fast processor which writes those gigantic HD files to the HDD or SD card quickly and efficiently. It also allows for high-res zooming when exceeding the optical range. In addition, the engine works to reduce image noise, rendering beautiful, life-like images. These two work together to produce 1080/60p footage. The “p” means progressive; when recording in a progressive frame rate the footage captures is more vibrant and detailed than even “i”, or interlaced, HD recording. In the world of consumer camcorders, 1080p is the gold standard. Of course the sensor and engine wouldn’t be able to do their job without a high-quality lens. The HS900 comes with a 35mm Leica Dicomar lens that sports a 3.45-41.4mm focal length, 12x optical zoom range, 46mm filter diameter and a 1.5-2.8 f/stop. Lens can zoom up to 20x using the Intelligent Zoom; and it features a manual ring for more control and creativity with your shooting. Another way in which the camera works to create clean video is with HYBRID O.I.S. (optical image stabilization). This O.I.S. keeps your shots steady when hand-holding the camera. It reduces the effects of hand-shake for an easy-to-view, clean shot. Other useful tools of the camera include a very generous 3.5″ touch screen LCD. This screen provides you with options like, “Touch Zoom” and “Touch Shutter”. The zoom function allows you to zoom in by dragging your finger across the LCD. The s Features

![]() Panasonic PV-GS90 MiniDV Camcorder with 42x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom Sale Price: $699.95 DescriptionThe PV-GS90 miniDV camcorder’s 42x optical zoom lens has the power you need to take dramatic close ups or get remarkable shots of even distant subjects. But with long-distance zoom shots, even a tiny bit of hand shake has a huge effect on picture quality. That’s where Panasonic’s Advanced Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) comes in, suppressing the effects of hand shake as you shoot. The system uses gyro sensors to detect hand shake, then shifts a lens and adjusts the optical axis to compensate. This all happens a remarkable 4,000 times per second. And because the system is optical, no image quality is lost. Thanks to Advanced O.I.S., the images you capture look incredibly clear, sharp and blur-free even at high zoom levels. When illumination is insufficient, turn on this camcorder’s built-in LED video light to take crisp, colorful movies. The LED (light emitting diode) has low power consumption, long service life, and the safety of a low-operating temperature. Or leave the light off and turn on the MagicPix function to capture sharp images with color even in dim lighting (1 lux). Light from the LCD is gentle and easy on the eyes, so you can snap shots of sleeping children without waking them up. With One-Touch Navigation, just press the center of the joystick to display an operating menu. The operations you use most often appear right on the monitor, so it’s easy to change settings or operate the camera without looking away from your subject. The Soft Skin function detects skin tones, softening the focus on those areas. This has a skin-beautifying effect, which makes wrinkles and lines appear less noticeable. When turned on, this function makes blemishes and moles look less conspicuous while preserving resolution in areas of the picture and outside of the skin. No Still Picture Recording Minimum Illumination – 2 Lux (Magic Pix) Focus AF/Manual White Balance Auto/Indoor/Outdoor/White Set (with IR S Features
