Camcorder dilemma!?
I read a lot of reviews, comparisons, talked to people and posted on yahoo answers about the ideal camcorder .. but just before buy one: what is really the best?! i dont know why but I really want to buy a Sony Handycam .. I just returned from the showroom of Sony and I three cameras in mind: 1 - DCR-HC96 2 - HDR-HC3 3 - DCR-DVD905, which I shud go? The miniDV, HD MiniDV or DVD? What are the pros and cons of each and what advantage makes a DVDCam has more than a miniDV camera and vice versa .. please help me out QUICK!
MiniDV-format easier to edit and offers the highest quality (compared with a similar camera a different format) HDV-not so easy to edit as miniDV, but some programs that natively support. It continues to provide the maximum quality consumer / pro format (DVCPRO excluding 100). DVD-kill before you change one of them. However, if you decide to shoot and see, you can only pop it into your DVD player. but if you add or change something later, you're in luck. Personally, I think you should go for a mini-DV or HDV CAM. Each one is more versatile than a camera, DVD, and if you decide not to edit, burn to a disc has more than 10 minutes. However, to decide which one you want you need to see what they have or are willing to go. If you want HD, you need a computer good editing, a dual-core computer is good. A single nucleus below 2 GHz is probably not good. If you have something like this, then you're probably good to go. If not, then you will probably want to upgrade your computer, or simply continue with miniDV SD. Another point to consider is if you have an HD set or not. If you do not have one, could well stay with SD: its cheaper, not a professional (no offense, is only the professionals have a greater need for high definition consumer to do now), you probably will not have to upgrade your computer (although perhaps), and you will not be able to see the HD difference anyway if you have an HD set. BTW, transfer miniDV or HDV video to a computer, you need a FireWire port and cable. If your computer doesn't have one, you can buy a PCI adapter card. Hope this helps!
A low price, good quality camcorder?
I am looking for a camcorder low price and good quality plan to take to Disney World during the summer. My friend and I are doing a kind of documentary of the journey and we need a video camera with great battery life, but not too expensive. My price range is $ 100-200. If anyone knows of a video camera of good quality with long battery life for a little over $ 200, let me know. If you suggest a video camera, please write a review of the camcorder and the pros and cons of having it. Any additional information is always appreciated! Thanks!
