Review Hard Drive Camcorder

JVC Everio 30 GB hard drive camcorder noise and zoom test

Best camcorders compatible with Mac?

I am looking for a camcorder compatible with Mac, the only advantage I can think is the ability to use iMovie to edit the clips in the camera video. Are there other advantages besides that? In addition, many have recommended that hard drive camcorders because their storage capacity, but others argue MiniDV camcorders that produce much better quality? I'm looking at two cameras: Panasonic SDR-H18 (http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-camcorders/panasonic-sdr-h18/4505-6500_7-32343416.html?ar=o&tag=pdtl-list) and Sony Handycam HDR-SR7 (http:// reviews.cnet.com/digital-camcorders/sony-handycam-hdr-sr7/4505-6500_7-32427828.html? ar = O & tag = pdtl-list). I guess being able to edit video clips is not as important to me, but I'd like my clips to be compatible with Mac to prevent more problems in the future. I like the idea of getting a hard disk as the storage capacity would be much bigger and at the same time, I will not compromise video quality. What advice would you give? Thank you!

Panasonic or Sony? They are good, but if you are looking for the best that I will present one: JVC Everio GZ-HD7 is the best, is friendly and compatible with Mac, Apple, Windows and anything more!
