I have a Sony CCD video camera V200e old professional. Still works fine, but I was wondering if there is a digital recorder that can connect to video / Audio output jacks of the video camera instead of recording through 8mm Recorder (which is of very poor quality) that can digitally record and have no moving loss of quality. It should be small so that you can use while using the video camera (eg in my pocket, etc) I know too much to ask wonder
I suppose it depends on how big your pockets are ... The Archos AV 405 30 concert (analog) as if you connect the AV output from the camcorder to AV input, you should be able to record. To say "no loss" will be a challenge - there are probably a lot of compression - hence, loss. Standard definition DV is about 14 GB of hard disk space per hour of video ... I do not know what the Archos does in the compression mode.
