Video camera stops working in cold temperatures?
I'm going snowboarding in a couple of weeks and I would get some amount in the mountains. The last few times I tried to record the video camera recorded well for a while and then go out or just turn on at all. I know it's due to extreme cold and frozen cells, but how or what I can get it to work? There must be some kind of way since I see other videos of them with the snowboarding. I have a SVP camcorder (Handycam is one of those generic) and a Polaroid (I forget which is the model). The Vice President can not have the battery changed (also the only one to turn ONCE in the mountains) and you can Polaroid. I know that battery with the new switch "trick of the battery hot .... does not work. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Could a handheld camera work for you? The good thing about them is that you can keep within its layer (ie, hot) when not in use. It also takes AA batteries so the recharge is not a problem.
