good usb minidv camcorder?
Hi everyone
I need a mini dv camcorder that is cheap but not a toy. i dont need it to do fancy HD video, but not to record a smudge and then not be able to upload to the internet via a USB cable. price range of £200 or less. must be able to connect to a pc via USB. needs sound.

MiniDVs transfer the video via firewire, not USB. Some MiniDV camcorders also have USB streaming but the quality’s very poor. At £200 you’re looking at entry level stuff, but it’s still very usable. See what shops like Jessops are selling – Sony, Canon, JVC and Panasonic are all good makes.
